Visit the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas

City of Ten Thousand Buddhas is located at 4951 Bodhi Way, Ukiah, CA 95482. The campus is open to visitors daily from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. For prospective students, please email info@drbu.org or call 707 462 5486 to schedule a visit.


Driving from the South

  1. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and drive north on Freeway 101 for about two hours.
  2. Exit on Talmage Road.
  3. Turn right to Talmage Road and drive for about five minutes.
  4. Arrive at the Front Gate of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas [picture above].


Driving from the North

  1. Take Freeway 101 South.
  2. Exit on Talmage Road.
  3. Turn onto Talmage Road and head east toward Talmage.
  4. Arrive at the Front Gate of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas [picture above].


Flying In

You may either fly into San Francisco Airport [SFO], Oakland Airport [OAK], or Sonoma Airport.

From San Francisco Airport [by public transportation]

  1. Take BART [Bay Area Rapid Transit, www.bart.gov] to the Embarcadero Station, a 45-minute ride. Leave BART by 2:00 PM at the latest. Greyhound only makes one trip to Ukiah daily at 3:35 PM.
  2. From Embarcadero Station, walk to the Greyhound Station at 425 Mission Street, San Francisco. 2. [Head southwest on Market Street, turn right to First Street, then turn left to Mission Street. The Greyhound Station will be on the right.]
  3. Take the 3:35 PM Greyhound bus to Ukiah, arriving at 6:35 PM. Purchase Greyhound ticket in advance 3. or allow ample time to purchase ticket at the station, if seats are available.
  4. CTTB is about three miles from the Greyhound Station. Call Hey Taxi [www.heytaxiinc.com] at 707 467 1200 to arrange a ride.

From San Francisco or Oakland Airport [by car]
Rent a car from Enterprise [www.enterprise.com] or Hertz [www.hertz.com] and return the car at the Ukiah branch location.

From Sonoma Airport [by public transportation]
