Student Advising is available to all students, whether graduate or undergraduate. Faculty advisors can help students make the fullest use of the opportunities available at the University, guide their academic programs, and solve problems that may occur. Once a student has chosen a major area of study, he or she will be advised by the faculty in that academic department. Those who have not yet decided on a major may choose an advisor from the faculty at large.

Five Contemplations Dining Hall

Meals are covered by students’ board fees, and are taken with the rest of the community in the Five Contemplations Dining Hall, centrally located on campus. No cooking is allowed in the residence halls for single men and women. Jyun Kang Restaurant, located at the center of the campus, is open six days a week, closed on Tuesdays. Jyun Kang does not offer student discounts, and dishes served there are not included in board fees. In accordance with the principle of compassion toward all beings, all meals served and all food eaten on campus are vegetarian. Students with special dietary needs should notify the University when they submit their application forms.

Housing is available at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas. Students in field experience situations may reside in approved distant learning centers or field experience locations.
