Ven. Kaccāna Bhikku on Spiritual Friendship and Communal Harmony

This talk will be on spiritual friendship and harmonious living with regard to cultivating qualities that contribute to a healthy community. Ven. Kaccāna Bhikku recommends for those interested to read the first half of the Upakkilesa Sutta before the talk. There are freely available translations online or can be read in Ven. Ñāṇamoli/Bhikkhu Bodhi's Middle Length Discourses.

Ven. Kaccāna Bhikku came to Abhayagiri monastery a month after completing his PhD. After two years in training, he became a Bhikkhu in October 2008 with Ajahn Pasanno as his preceptor. In 2011, Kaccāna Bhikku traveled to Thailand for one year and practiced at several monasteries, including ten weeks deep in the rain forest. He has remained at Abhayagiri since his return.
