Avatamsaka Sutra Summer Program

Program Schedule

The program integrates sutra text study with hands-on practice of meditation and recitation. The daily schedule includes lectures and facilitated group discussions. Three meditation sits are scheduled throughout the day along with a period of morning exercise. In addition, students are encouraged to join the monastic community for morning and evening recitations.

Please note that the second week in Buddha Root Farm will be outdoors. There are bathrooms, showers, a kitchen, and a main hall, but we will be camping outside and living in tents. Please go to the Oregon FAQ to see what you will need to bring.
