The Heart Sutra explains the meaning of prajñā pāramitā, the perfection of wisdom that enables one to perceive clearly the emptiness of self and of all phenomena. The Heart Sutra is the heart of the perfection of wisdom; it is also the heart of the entire family of prajñā pāramitā sutras.
