What are the prerequisites for the program? Since this is a graduate program, students need to have an undergraduate degree to enter this program.
How much does the program cost?

The application fee is $20. Tuition is $3600 per year (based on $120/per unit), plus a $30 per semester registration fee. An additional $100 library fee is also required for use of the UC Berkeley library system. Financial aid to cover tuition is available to qualified students with genuine financial need.

When does the program start and end?

Orientation and class registration take place the first week of September, and classes begin on Sept 11, 2006. Academic classes conclude at the end of May.

There will also be an optional summer program studying the Avatamsaka Sutra that will serve as a primer for the MA program.

Are there living accomodations? IWR does not have any residences for students in the program; however, there are apartments and rooms that can be rented in the area. We can possibly help you find a place to stay.
When are the classes? Many of the classes are during the evening allowing students that work part-time to be able to attend the classes at night.
When is the deadline to apply? June 15, 2007 is the deadline to apply for the 2007-2008 academic year.
How do I apply?

Complete applications include an admissions application, two official transcripts, two recommendation forms, and a statement of purpose expressing your interest in studying your program of choice at DRBU-Berkeley. The application form can be downloaded from the university website (www.drbu.org). Send them to the address below with a $20 application fee.
