How it Works

Rolling Admissions

  • We review applications on a rolling basis. This means there is no deadline for applying.
  • You can apply anytime after you have completed your junior year of college.
  • Your will receive your admissions decision in approximately six weeks after all parts of your application have been received.
  • We are currently accepting applications for the Class of 2019 (entering Fall 2017).
  • Places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The admissions process ends once the entering class is full.

Application Fee

  • There is no application fee to apply to DRBU

Standardized Tests

  • GRE score is highly recommended but not required [Institution code 4282]
  • We require TOEFL score for students who speak English as a second language

Academic Entry Requirements

  • We welcome applicants with a Bachelors degree in any subject. There are no specific courses required as prerequisites for attendance.

International Applicants

  • Dharma Realm Buddhist University is currently not authorized to issue the I-20 application for admission of non-immigrant students. Students from overseas who are Permanent Residents may enroll. For more information, please visit this link.

Upon Admission

Acceptance remains provisional until after DRBU has received and favorably reviewed the following:

  • Final undergraduate transcript, establishing satisfactory grades through the second semester of the senior year

  • Student health and registration forms

Additional Information

Graduate applicants are required to have graduated from college by the time they enroll in DRBU. The University may provisionally admit applicants based on their academic preparation through the junior year of college.

Applicants are required to demonstrate competence in the English language. Applicants who speak English as second language must demonstrate their English language proficiency with a minimum score of 550 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language [TOEFL].

Applicants are required to submit a completed application and complete an interview with a member of the Admissions Committee.

Dharma Realm Buddhist University is currently not authorized to issue the I-20 application for admission of international students. Some types of non-immigrant visas may qualify. For further information, contact the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid.

DRBU does not accept credits from other institutions because our curriculum is fully integrated and all-required.
